Juan Carlos Stolberg Biography
Juan Carlos Stolberg is a corporate and transactional attorney and partner at Stolberg Law, LLC with experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, startup law, real estate and hospitality law, tax incentives, art law, and general corporate matters.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Stolberg owns and operates a residential and commercial real estate conglomerate in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he has coordinated and carried out conversions and other turnaround strategies to maximize asset appreciation.
In October of 2013, Juan Carlos co-founded Piloto 151, San Juan’s first co-working space, dedicated to the strengthening of the entrepreneurial and startup ecosystem in Puerto Rico via educational workshops, industry seminars, networking events, exchange programs and other collaborative initiatives.
Paola Medina Prieto Biography
Attorney Medina Prieto has been a tax practitioner for the past 10 years. She began her career at O’Neill & Borges LLC, where she worked as an associate in the corporate department. She later delved into the in-house counsel realm, where she was the director of legal affairs of a local technology startup, in which she set up the corporate and tax structure, designed complex
LLC Operating Agreements and other documents for raising capital, while managing vendor, employment, and intellectual property matters.
She currently has her own corporate and tax structuring practice for various industries in Puerto Rico. Her main practice areas involve corporate matters and governance, including setting up new businesses, designing their corporate and tax structures in order to request the most appropriate tax benefits, handling regulatory and compliance matters, mergers & acquisitions, government affairs, real estate, and commercial lending.
Attorney Medina Prieto is Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors, Proyecto Matria, and a Member of the Board of Directors, Tax Incentives Association Inc.
She earned a Juris Doctor degree from University of Puerto Rico, RP, Magna Cum Laude, where she was Editor in Chief, UPR Business Law Journal Editorial Board. She earned a BBA from University of Puerto Rico, RP, Summa Cum Laude
