The Financial Analysts’ Society of Puerto Rico is Proud to Sponsor the 2025 CFA Ethics Challenge
The Financial Analysts Society of Puerto Rico held its third CFA Institute Ethics Challenge last night. Four teams competed from three campuses. The 2025 Ethics Challenge champions are Team 1 from the University of Puerto Rico’s, Rio Piedras campus. Pictured here are from left to right: Eduardo R Rodriguez-Rodriguez, Antonio Luis Martínez Peña, Sofia V Umana-Rodrguez, and their coach, Charles M. Carpenter, Adjunct Professor of Finance. Not pictured are team members Jose Rogriguez Morales and Noelia Vazquez Rodriguez were not able to attend the competition.
This year’s competition was particularly important in light of the suspension of The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and enforcement of SEC rules and laws, to encourage students to follow a high standard of ethics regardless of the relaxation of legal enforcement.
Pictured below are all of the students that participated in the presentations, along with judges for the event Harry Markopolos, Stephen Inglis, and Angel Rivera.
We would like to congratulate all of the teams from UPR-Mayaguez, UPR-Rio Piedras, and UPR-Bayamon that participated. The quality of the analysis and the presentations was exceptional.
